For the adventurous traveler, autumn on the Oregon coast is an extraordinary experience. Free of the summertime crowds, November visitors are gifted with the solitude of a vast coastline stretching hundreds of miles. Add in exciting events and seasonal attractions for an authentic Coos Bay experience rain or shine. Here are our suggestions for November outings on the Oregon shore:

Coos Bay Tree Lighting, Santa & Free Film
Here's a twist on this annual tradition: On November 25th watch Santa arrive in Coos Bay by a tugboat, accompanied by a local teen chorus belting out traditional Christmas carols. After the tree is lit, follow Mr. Claus to the Egyptian Theatre where kids are welcomed to tell him their wishes, and all are invited to stay for a free screening of the movie "Elf."
