There's a good reason we're known as the "Adventure Coast" - rain or shine, Coos Bay and our neighboring towns always have something fun going on. This month is no exception – sure, it's still mostly raining this time of year, but for pros like us we know how to have a good time no matter the weather.
For our guests at the Quality Inn Coos Bay and local visitors alike, we welcome you to our home of Coos Bay and invite you to explore. We've rounded up the best local events in March, guaranteed to put a smile on your face:
- Rock out to live music every Friday and Saturday nights at Warehouse 101, the bar nestled inside The Mill Casino. From 9 pm to 1 am you'll be treated to the best local bands playing rock, blues and everything in between.
- Teach the children well: featuring three local kids' bands (starring future rockstars from ages 6 – 16), the Kids Helping Kids Benefit Concert will raise funds to help support local homeless youth. Saturday, 3/18/2017, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Join the South Coast Folk Society for an international evening of dances from around the world. No experience is required (or even expected); just bring your dancing shoes, smile and willingness to have the best night of your life. Friday, 3/24/2017, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
- ‘Tis the season for… whale watching on the Oregon coast! Head to Shore Acres State Park, where trained volunteers share information about these migrating marine mammals – along with free binoculars to spot the creatures yourself. Saturday, 3/25/2017, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
