Enjoy Oysters Before It's Too Late - Quality Inn & Suites Coos Bay

Whether you like them sauteed, fried or steamed, oysters are the main attraction at the 11th Annual "Ahh Shucks" Oyster Feed at Charleston Marina on 4/23/16. Enjoy the delicious concoctions of this succulent shellfish during the first ever "Oregon Oyster Week" at the University of Oregon's Institue of Marine Biology.

Discover the world of oysters, if you haven't already, and see what all the buzz is about! For over 60 years, local farmers from Coos Bay have been harvesting Pacific Oysters, and now is the time to get familiar with the best cooking preparations for Oregon's bounty.

Coming together in the Charleston community to mix and mingle with others makes enjoying oysters all the better. Bring your dancing shoes because this shindig gets started with live entertainment by local musicians such as Dale Inskeep Band and Stacy Rose accompanied by plenty of prizes from local merchants to keep the party going.

Delicious assortments of oysters are available as meals including baked beans, coleslaw, bread and a drink from:

  • Three-piece Oyster Meal for $11
  • Six-piece Oyster Meal for $13
  • Nine-piece Oyster Meal for $15
  • Shrimp Cocktail add-on for $1

Don't forget about dessert! And what party on the Oregon Coast would a party without wine? Indulge on several selections available for additional purchase.

In case your tastebuds haven't been developed for the succulent shellfish just yet, a choice of juicy beef hot dogs will be served for the price of $12 for adults and $5 for kids under twelve.

After you've danced a jig and are eager to relax, our hotel welcomes you for the rest you deserve. Do you need assistance with any other activities in the Coos Bay area while you are in town? Please contact us today at 541-756-3191.
