Come to Orchid Day

Come to Orchid Day
Known as the "Gems of the Rainforest," orchids are an enduring symbol of beauty and grace. Celebrate these one-of-a-kind blooms during Orchid Day at Shore Acres State Park. The Garden House will open its doors for a special flower exhibit on Saturday, September 19. Orchids are at their peak this time of the year, and you will be amazed at the many different varieties and sizes of the blooms. From 11AM to 4PM, the Pacific Orchid Society hosts this colorful event, which showcases the beautiful tropical flowers. You’ll also find refreshments, including cookies, coffee, and punch. Spend some time admiring the elegant blooms, and learning about their fragile beauty. Highlights of Orchid Day include:
  • Displays of Tropical Flowers
  • Cookies, Coffee & Punch
  • Free Admission
  • Scenic Ocean Views
  • Formal Gardens
  • Grand Estate
Please note that there is a $5 parking fee at the site. Shore Acres State Park is just one of the unique attractions that you’ll find in this scenic slice of Oregon.
