Our perch on the edge of the coast makes Coos Bay a must for fresh seafood.

It's no wonder Coos Bay is known for some of the best seafood in the region. Given our perch right on the edge of the rugged Oregon coast, we're in a privileged location to enjoy the delicacies of the sea – with renowned local seafood restaurants serving it up in style.

Whether you head out on a fishing charter and catch your own or rely on the local fishermen to reel it in, there's a delicious meal waiting for you nearby. We'll let you in on our favorite spots – some well-known and others a well-kept secret… until now:

The Fisherman's Seafood Market is the first stop for your fresh fish and seafood needs. They also prepare a choice menu including fish ‘n chips, crab dishes, fish tacos and their award-winning clam chowder. You'll find the market right on the docks across from the Visitor Center.

Head to the Blue Heron Bistro in downtown Coos Bay and enjoy a rotating selection of fresh seafood dishes alongside classic German specialties. One taste of their top-secret chowder and you'll be a fan for life. What better spot for SharkBites Café than adjoining a surf shop? The seaside of this spot ambiance is surpassed only by their acclaimed food, including popcorn shrimp, Dungeness crab cakes fish tacos and special catches of the day.

For true Northwest Style ales brewed locally, stop in at the 7 Devils Brewing Company. Their ales are handcrafted with 100% American ingredients and the company abides by a philosophy we can all stand behind: "Peace, love, music, and of course, beer!"
